Step By Step Program

We are a California State-Licensed facility dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and high-quality early childhood environment for children from 0 months to 12 years of age. By blending age-appropriate structured learning with active exploration and play, we offer a dual-language experience in both Spanish and English. Our program is intentionally designed to be responsive to the unique developmental needs of each individual child, fostering their physical, emotional, cognitive, and creative growth in a nurturing space.

Our classrooms implement a child-centered, anti-bias curriculum that empowers young learners to freely choose from a wide variety of activities. These experiences directly reflect the children's evolving interests and milestones, which we carefully track through daily observations, developmental assessments, and collaborative parent conferences. From our youngest infants to our children preparing for kindergarten, every classroom environment is thoughtfully designed to promote independence, responsibility, discovery, and intrinsic motivation through hands-on activities, interactive games, literature, and engaging phonics programs.

With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, Mrs. Shonda guides our teaching team with passion, compassion, and high professional standards. She specializes in developmental readiness, ensuring that our preschoolers transition smoothly and confidently to the next stage of their education.

 

Shonda’s dedicated approach to childcare is uniquely informed by her previous career as a Certified Medical Assistant in healthcare settings, prioritizing both the physical well-being and cognitive growth of our students. She is proud to foster a collaborative, warm, and enriching environment for parents, students, and staff alike.
