At this developmental stage toddlers are exploring the world around them we help enhance children's vocabulary to recognize different objects and the use of them. They're learning how to pronounce words at this age children still jabber constantly or says a single word to represent an entire thought. Toddlers are learning independence as they began to feed themselves, clean up after themselves and follow simple directions. Toddlers are enhancing their fine motor skills as they drink from a cup, holds large writing tools as they scribble on paper. They're mastering walking (without support), running, dancing, and having their independence. Toddler's are making strides each day in language development, cognitive development, social and emotional development, balance and coordination.

2.9 - 3 Years Old Preschool Class

At this developmental stage children are learning colors, shapes, numbers, alphabets and the other things around them as they begin potty training. By now children have mastered working with their fine motor skills as well as their gross motor skills, they now can pronounce over 1000 words, holds large writing tool, and running and jumping like never before. Children are beginning to recite in English and Spanish as they indulge in new skills. They're also learning other skills as taking turns, playing make believe, and kicking a ball. These are all considered developmental milestones. Toddlers will experience huge thinking, learning, social, and emotional changes that will help them to explore their new world, and make sense of it.

At this developmental stage children are preparing for Kindergarten therefore we work in depth with each child to assure that they are  well prepare for the next milestone in life. As children grow into early childhood, their world will begin to open up as children are able to ride a tricycle, use safety scissors, notice a difference between girls and boys, help to dress and undress themselves, play with other children, recall parts of a story, and sing a song. We work closely with them to know their letter recognition, write their names, reading, recognizing numbers and adding and subtracting as they work with phonics and computer literacy programs. Your child’s language and cognitive abilities are growing and they are able to express themselves better. This is the stage where they begin to have a greater sense of creativity and self-control.
